Dr. Michael Ayes

An experienced dentist, Dr. Michael Ayes maintains involvement in many organizations associated with the dental profession. For several years, he has served on the Board of Pain Therapeutics and later as the Chairman of Associated Dental Practices, a position he currently holds. In 1975, Dr. Michael Ayes graduated with his Doctor of Dental Surgery from New York University after completing his undergraduate education at Syracuse University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology.

Most recently, Dr. Michael Ayes has served as President and Chief Executive Officer at Total Dental Concepts, Inc., a dental practice management firm based out of Philadelphia. At Total Dental Concepts, Inc., he has overseen operations at the firm, which consists of more than 200 employees in 12 locations. He has introduced innovative changes to the company and provided strategic leadership. Prior to his role with Total Dental Concepts, Inc., Dr. Michael Ayes served as Senior Vice President of Operations for DentalCo, Inc., a dental management company also based out of Philadelphia, where he managed all operations pertaining to the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast. Prior to that role, Dr. Ayes served as President of Modern Dental Concepts, Inc., a management company he founded in 1978 and oversaw until his departure in 1997.

A member of numerous professional societies and a leader in his industry, Dr. Michael Ayes remains actively involved in the American Academy of Dental Group Practice, the Academy of General Dentistry, the National Association of Dental Plans, and the American Dental Association. A charitable individual, Dr. Ayes pursues a variety of philanthropic efforts. In his free time, he enjoys participating in outdoor activities.
