Dr Michael Bourn

Dr. Michael Bourn treats patients through the Department of Pain Management Services at Doctors Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. In his leadership role, he helps individuals overcome pain caused by a wide variety of chronic conditions. Dr. Michael Bourn also serves in a public capacity as member of the Governors Cabinet Opiate Action Task Force. Earlier in his career, he worked for Odyssey Hospice in Columbus as associate medical director and as medical director with Amerikare Ambulance Service.

A professionally engaged individual, Dr. Michael Bourn holds certification through the American Board of Emergency Medicine with a subspecialty certification in hospice and palliative medicine. He has also presented on such topics as chronic pain management and opioid therapy at numerous continuing medical education series.

Dr. Bourn earned his DO from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, Pennsylvania. He went on to complete his residency in emergency medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin and his fellowship in palliative care at the Ohio State University.
