Dr. Michael Kreutzer maintains a private psychiatry practice in San Francisco, where he draws on decades of experience in clinical practice to help patients manage and overcome mental health problems. Holding an MD from the Free University of Berlin and board certifications in psychiatry and child psychiatry through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, he has also taught medicine at such institutions as the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), and the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

Over his long career, Dr. Michael Kreutzer has participated in his wider community by delivering presentations on a variety of topics to audiences at medical gatherings. For instance, he presented on child crises at the Hamilton Family Center and on the prescription of antipsychotic medication to children at Anka Behavioral Health.

Before establishing himself in medicine, he completed extensive postgraduate training, including a fellowship at the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute and residency work in psychiatry, internal medicine, and neurology at UCSF and St. Mary’s Hospital. He also earned a bachelor of science in preclinical medical sciences from the University of Mainz prior to pursuing his MD.
