Murphy holds a doctor of medicine (MD) from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, as well as both a bachelor of arts and a pharmacy degree from the University of Texas Austin. While completing his pharmacy studies, Dr. Michael L. Murphy gained admittance to the Rho Chi international honor society for pharmaceutical sciences.
