Dr. Michelle McLanahan

Dr. Michelle McLanahan offers over 15 years of experience in obstetrics and gynecology. A mother of two and a board-certified OB/GYN, she has run a private practice, Michelle McLanahan, M.D., P.A., with her husband in Jacksonville, Florida since 2001. An expert in her field, Dr. McLanahan works hard to ensure that her practice satisfies her patients' needs.

Dr. Michelle McLanahan began her career at Women's Medical Group, P.A., where she worked as an OB/GYN from 1995 to 2001. Prior to Dr. McLanahan's six-year tenure at Women's Medical Group, she attended Wayne State University's College of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan, and completed her residency at Wayne State School of Medicine at Hutzel Hospital in 1995. A highly competitive program, the residency featured a referral system that placed women with high-risk pregnancies in Dr. McLanahan's care. She graduated in the top 20 percent of her class and completed training programs in internal medicine, family medicine, and surgery.

Prior to attending Wayne State University, Dr. Michelle McLanahan transferred from Southeastern College of Osteopathic Medicine after deciding to seek out a larger university to complete her clinical training. She earned her undergraduate degree in three years at Jacksonville University, where she was on the Dean's List and President's Honor Roll. She graduated cum laude with her Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1985.

Dr. Michelle McLanahan has successfully completed Parts I, II, and III of the National Board of Medical Examiners certification process. She received certifications from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1997, and the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners in 1989.
