Dr Ming Wei Wu

Dr. Ming-Wei Wu offers patients throughout Southern Nevada his expertise in general surgery and osteopathic care in a friendly, modern environment located at 3750 South Jones Boulevard, Suite 120, in Las Vegas. A practicing osteopathic surgeon in Las Vegas since 2005, Dr. Ming-Wei Wu affiliates with the Southern Hills Hospital & Medical Center. He provides treatment to the residents and patients of several regional nursing homes and rehabilitation centers, including the Silver Ridge Healthcare Center and the Las Ventanas retirement community. At his practice, Dr. Ming-Wei Wu provides the latest surgical treatments for hemorrhoids, hernias, gallbladders, bowels, and breasts, and he offers care and rehabilitation for bedsores and surgical and diabetic wounds.

Dr. Wu also performs colonoscopies and esophagogastroduodenoscopies (EGDs), as well as skin grafts, negative-pressure wound therapy, and medical weight-loss treatments. Possessing a license from the Nevada State Board of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Wu participates in professional development through several medical societies to provide his patients with the latest technologies and a superior level of care. He holds membership in the American Osteopathic Association, the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons, and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. Prior to settling in Las Vegas, Dr. Ming-Wei Wu completed his undergraduate education at the University of California, San Diego, and earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Western University of Health Sciences. Dr. Wu conducted his internship and residency at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital in Far Rockaway, Queens, and a fellowship in minimally invasive bariatric surgery at the PinnacleHealth Community General Osteopathic Hospital of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He performed bariatric and general surgeries at local clinics for his first two years practicing in Las Vegas. From 2008 to 2010, Dr. Wu also served as the Chief of Surgery at Desert View Regional Medical Center in Pahrump, Nevada, while simultaneously running his practice.
