Monique Porow, Ph.D.

I am a scholar of race relations whose present research focuses on the nature of racial socialization within multiracial families. My most recent work examines the role that parents, extended family members, and siblings play in the process of shaping the racial identity development of Black/White biracial people.

As an educator, I believe in experiential learning. By actively involving students in their education, they not only learn, but they also develop an excitement about the learning process.

I also keep quite busy with many personal projects, namely my catering business. As a bread pudding connoisseur, I bring happiness to mouths across the east coast.
