If there is one thing I have never been able to resist, it is the pursuit of information. Be it in the lessons of the classroom or the events of the world, I have yet to encounter an answer that did not lead me to ask more questions. This ever-burning curioisity, combined with an infatuation with writing, is the reason I now find myself studying journalism as a first-year student of Ryerson University.
Although I already have experience in the world of sports journalism as a reporter for trans-Canadian publication Sports Xpress, my deep-seated passion for both sports and travel has left me uncertain as to which journalistic branch I wish to pursue: sports coverage or foreign correspondence. Perhaps the final answer will prove to be "c) none of the above."
Born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario (Oskee Wee Wee), I currently call Toronto home, despite its citizens' overwhelming, if not ill-advised, dedication to the Maple Leafs and Argonauts.
I am a great admirer of journalists such as Anderson Cooper, Peter Mansbridge, and Darren Dreger, and find political satarists Rick Mercer and Stephen Colbert to be consistently more reliable and far more trustworthy than many major news outlets.
