A western "open range" cowboy to the core. As you will see, my art is very influenced by the southwestern colors and shapes. From the colors of green on the cactus and varying shades of earth from reds to browns to tans with the big open blue sky sprawled above. With shapes and designes quite similar to American Indian designs. Some shapes I used on previous leather work or conchos when I made bits and spurs. I do less chasing cows these days, but always on call if someone needs a hand. I started painting gourds a few years back, just before Christmas. My ides was to paint these gourds that I had and give them as gifts. Which I did. I also continued painting every gourd I could get rounded up. And here I am with my gourds.
