-Michael "Droopy Tek" Hoskin has managed to take over the East Side streets of Chicago, with the help of his affiliates, is set to leave his mark on the game before he is done. The CEO of Cataclysm Entertainment LTD.(formerly known as Cataclysm Records Inc.) & Beat Donz Production LLC. Known as Droopy Tek; he inherited his nickname from the local neighborhood women. The neighborhood women were infatuated with his sleepy looking eyes, thus they started to call him Droopy Eyes. Later, the “ Eyes” became Tek.
The name “Tek” holds ambiguous meanings, the first in reference to the favored handgun Droopy liked to carry in his days of dealing drugs on the streets and the second Throwing Everyone Knock.
Droopy fell in love with Hip-Hop at a young age while attending Elementary School in Chicago. He grew up with recording artist Rhyme Fest, who is known for helping artist Kanye West pen his hit record, "Jesus Walks". Inspired by his older cousin Enix "Eclips" Buchannan and friend Kareem "DJ King Dwella" Smith Droopy began to learn about music production. Kareem took Droopy under his wing even further, and stared to teach him How to produce House Music. He later ventured off into Hip-Hop,and R&B.
In 2005, Droopy started developing young artists under Cataclysm. In doing so, he began to produce the first mix tape called Cataclysm Radio Vol.1.
After a six hour stay in New York, Droopy was able to ink a deal with New York business mogul William “Chill Will” Benson of Billionaire's Row for Vol.2.
In 2012 Droopy linked up with Lyte Skynn the C.E.O of A.T.M / Money Gang Entertainment to form a joint venture, making him the primary producer of that entity. Thus with a growing international fan base already implemented in Europe, Africa, and China by his dad, and, the collaborative efforts of Chicago pioneers; Droopy Tek has produced two true classic albums in Lyte Skynn’s "Almost Famous" and his own, 'THE ANGEL OF FEAR" project Coming Soon !
Currently in Atlanta,Ga he has worked with Americas next Pop Music sensation Kanee, producing 2 songs on her upcoming Mixtape. Ria-C's upcoming Neo Soul EP as the primary music producer, and is currently pursuing an inhouse production deal with the legendary Patchwork Studios of Atlanta.
