I was present at the start of the revolution in electronics and communications networking technologies fifty years ago. I started out leading functional groups such as business development, strategic planning, M&A, regulatory affairs, and financial planning. Later on I ran corporate business units as a general manager and several business units as a group executive. I've been responsible several times for expanding domestic businesses internationally and have lead acquisition transactions throughout the world. I've served three CEOs in three different industries as a senior strategy and business development adviser. I was also an entrepreneur, co-founding and running a small consulting business for several years. Most recently I was focused on the convergence of video, voice, and data technologies as they relate to the future of; consumer entertainment business models, interactive television applications, targeted television advertising, audience measurement, viewer behavior modeling, consumer privacy, authentication & identity models, reputation systems, social networks, digital rights management, content security and content search & retrieval technologies. I'm retired now and continuing to consult in these areas.
