I come from a long line of dentists, adding to my family history by embracing the new wave of dentistry. I am a respected lecturer and researcher who has practiced clinical dentistry since 1993. My specialty is minimally invasive, biomimetic systemic dentistry. As one of the few certified systemic dentists in Los Angeles and Seattle where I practice, I recognize the need for a broader scope in modern dentistry. It's about a lot more than just clean teeth. And it's a far cry from "drill it, fill it, bill it" dentistry that leads innocent patients down the path of mercury fillings, recurrent decay, cracking, caps, root canals, bridges, and eventually losing teeth that could have been saved.
I live in an exciting time for dentistry, when cavities can be treated with ozone rather than fillings, when drilling has been replaced with gentle airbrush abrasion, when safe biomimetic materials are available, and when we understand more about the relation of oral health to chronic disease.
My approach to oral health encompasses diet, immune and structural integrity, and energetic alignment. Striking a balance between treating the person and the condition is what makes for an effective practitioner. I've found it's not only beneficial but necessary for people to have the best oral health possible.
Scientific expertise combined with an artistic sensibility allows me to offer a unique brand of dentistry dealing with patients' whole-body wellness. I specialize in safe mercury filling removal, surgical repair of cavitational osteonecrosis, proper tooth extraction, infected root canal removal and, most importantly, helping patients practice 'preventive dentistry' using minimally-invasive biomimetic methods to avoid future complications.
Precisely because I have been a leader in the new dentistry of the future, I have been harrassed by Quackwatch, and I am proud to say I am one of the few alternative medical practitioners attacked by this shady group who refused to let my insurance company settle, and instead took Quackwatch's lawyer to court where the judge dismissed the case as frivolous or I won by unanimous jury vote and was awarded damages.
