Dr. Patrick Hyatt

Director of the Heartburn Center at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland, Dr. Patrick Hyatt’s experiences in internal medicine and gastroenterology make him a valuable asset to not just his department, but the entire medical facility. Earning his medical degree from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania’s Temple University’s School of Medicine in 2000, Dr. Patrick Hyatt already possessed a decade of collegiate education, certifications from the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE), and a Mathilde and Louis Soloff Cardiology Prize.

After graduating, Dr. Patrick Hyatt relocated to Providence, Rhode Island, completing his residency at Brown University in their Internal Medicine program. At this point, Dr. Patrick Hyatt completed his USMLE certifications, was published in The American Journal of Gastroenterology, and became board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Patrick Hyatt spent an additional three years in a fellowship program in Brown, conducting a pilot study regarding cancer treatment, giving presentations about internal medicine, and receiving procedural training for liver biopsies, enteroscopy, colonoscopy, therapeutic dilation, and more. Leaving Brown University in 2006, Dr. Patrick Hyatt signed on with Dr. Posner, Cox and Associates at Mercy Medical Center as a gastroenterologist and therapeutic endoscopist. In 2008, Dr. Patrick Hyatt became the Director of the Heartburn Center when the practice was renamed to The Institute for Digestive Health and Liver Disease. Dr. Patrick Hyatt continues working to relieve patients of issues regarding their digestive processes, in addition to his new duties as Director. A member of Alpha Epsilon Delta, Dr. Patrick Hyatt is also board certified in gastroenterology and is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Gastroenterological Association, and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
