Dr. Aiken

My name is Dr. Peter J. Aiken. I am passionate about reaching this next generation of learners. I believe this cause can be reached through innovation, literacy...and most importantly, building relationships.

I love the art of leadership- and to read about the various ways to lead. In our education system, I vehemently believe we need strong leadership to guide us through these changing times.

I was formerly a high school assistant principal in Lancaster County. Prior to entering administration, I was a high school English teacher at Mars Area High School, just north of Pittsburgh. I began my teaching career as a reading teacher in Norfolk, VA.

My wife and I along with our three kids reside in Lancaster, PA. I love the outdoors, spending time with my family, and reading. I love all things Pittsburgh...she'll always be my hometown!
