Dr. Phoebe Ajayi is a primary care doctor in the West Midlands. She attended medical school on a scholarship at the University of Benin, Nigeria and finished with distinctions as one of the best graduating students.
Since qualifying in 2011, Phoebe has worked in various secondary and tertiary care roles in different medical and surgical specialties in Nigeria and the UK before moving to general practice. In 2017, she obtained the MRCS Eng (Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England) qualification.
Phoebe is passionate about quality healthcare being accessible to all. She has been volunteering with Pro Health International Africa since 2009. She runs a boot camp for women where, through education, she empowers women to take control of their health and wellbeing. She regularly runs health promotion campaigns and she supports the Macmillan charity. She also volunteers with Virtual Doctors UK, a charity which provides technical and specialist support to medics in Malawi.
She writes fiction and non-fiction and is a public speaker, speaking on topics that affect physical and mental health, and how to achieve your goals
Phoebe is married to her soulmate and they have two children together. She enjoys a good novel, running, Zumba and Pilates.
