A Cardiologist and Internist, Dr. Rachel Ash-Bernal has completed advanced, diverse training at medical institutions of higher learning, both in the US and abroad. Dr. Rachel Ash-Bernal holds bachelor's degrees in biology and Spanish, and received a full scholarship to earn an MD and PhD from the MCP-Hahnemann School of Medicine in Philadelphia. She went on to complete multiple fellowships, including an integrative medicine fellowship at the University of Arizona and a Kean Travel Fellowship in Tropical Medicine in Peru.
During the latter fellowship, Dr. Rachel Ash-Bernal developed knowledge of tropical infectious diseases in Peru, later giving a talk on the topic at the American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene Annual Meeting in Washington, DC. She has also presented “Women and Cardiovascular Disease” at the Flourish Women’s Health Expo.
Dr. Ash-Bernal is Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Internal Medicine. She also holds level 2 certification in echocardiography, nuclear cardiology and cardiac computerized tomography.
