Richard Skala, DC, graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic 40 years ago and went into private practice in Los Altos, California. Shortly thereafter he helped start Palo Alto Chiropractic office. In the early 80s, Dr. Skala relocated to Fremont, CA where he continues to practice. Over the course of his career, he has provided alternative health and chiropractic care to patients and served as a state-appointed Qualified Medical Examiner. An extensively trained individual, he is familiar with everything from manipulation under anesthesia to spinal biomechanics and holds over a dozen different certifications. Currently, Dr. Richard Skala focuses his practice on QME, AME, and expert witness services for patients who have sustained injuries while on the job.

Outside of the office, Dr. Skala is an active member of both his professional and local community. He serves on the board of the California Society of Industrial Medicine and Surgery and is a member of such organizations as the International Chiropractic Association of California and the Association of FOrensic Industrial Chiropractic Consultants (AFICC). He has also held several leadership roles with United Physicians Group. In terms of local involvement, Dr. Skala is a board member of the Growing Place, a nonprofit mental health organization in Chico, CA. He is a former board member of Transform Asia and Christian Counseling Centers and has completed over a dozen house building mission trips to Mexico and 5 medical misson trips in Cambodia.
