Dr. Robert F. Littleton Jr.
Developmental Services Leader in Milford, Massachusetts
For more than 30 years, Dr. Robert F. Littleton Jr. has provided services for people with emotional and developmental challenges. Dr. Littleton began his career as a classroom instructor and later joined the Kennedy-Donovan Center for Programs in Early Development, which, under his tenure as director, became a state-recognized model for collaboration in special needs education. Since that time, Dr. Robert F. Littleton Jr. has established four nonprofit organizations that serve children and adults across Massachusetts and Connecticut.
Dr. Littleton has given presentations at more than a dozen professional events. He has led symposia on applied behavior analysis through the California Association for Behavior Analysis, the Council for Exceptional Children, and the Association for Behavior Analysis. Dr. Littleton has also presented on early intervention management and administrative leadership as well as on the psychosocial and educational benefits of such interventions.
Cochair of the Fiscal Issues Study Group for the Massachusetts Early Intervention Consortium, Dr. Littleton has contributed to a number of educational development councils, including the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health and Public Health (joint) Task Force for the development of Early Intervention Guidelines. In recognition of his accomplishments and contributions to the community, Dr. Robert F. Littleton Jr. earned the first annual Salute to Service Award from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
