Dr. Robert G Carlson

A leading cardiothoracic surgeon, Dr. Robert G. Carlson founded the Ändlös Anti-Aging & Liposuction Center, a premier age management therapy and rejuvenation facility in Sarasota, Florida. Dr. Carlson retired from his surgical career approximately five years ago to concentrate on researching new surgical procedures and ways to optimize patient recovery. Dr. Robert G. Carlson also developed Stop-It, a revolutionary weight-management product. Robert G. Carlson, MD, holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry from Valparaiso University, where he graduated cum laude in 1979. Dr. Carlson subsequently enrolled in medical school at the Wright State School of Medicine at Wright State University, completing his MD in the top 15 percent of his class. He then embarked on an internship and residency in General Surgery at the Shands Hospital at the University of Florida in Gainesville, where he earned the Edward Woodward Surgical Resident Award. Dr. Carlson remained at Shands Hospital for two more years to complete a fellowship in Cardiothoracic Surgery. Dr. Carlson possesses a variety of professional accreditations and affiliations. A Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a Diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners, Dr. Carlson also maintains membership in the American College of Phlebology, Fellow in the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, Society of Thoracic Surgery, Florida Society of Thoracic & Cardiovascular Surgeons, and the Florida Medical Society. He also holds licensure with the American Board of Thoracic Surgery, the American Board of Surgery, and the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, as well as certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support. Robert G. Carlson, MD, has garnered numerous professional awards and fellowships over the course of his career, winning the America’s Top Doctor Award three times, top surgical resident at Shands Hospital, University of Florida, the Resident Award for Outstanding Research, and the Radiological Sciences Award on two occasions. Having conducted extensive clinical research studies, he has published his work in an array of professional journals and has received numerous invitations to speak at conferences and symposia around the United States. Dr. Carlson operates the Ändlös Institute for Preventative Health Care, located in Sarasota, Florida, and also serves as its founder.
