Dr. Robert Israel

Dr. Robert M. Israel is a fellowship trained Orthopedic Surgeon. Dr. Israel graduated with his undergraduate degree from Yeshiva University in New York and went on to obtain his medical degree from New York Medical College.

After medical school, Dr. Israel continued his medical training at St. Clare’s Hospital and Health Center participating in a Straight Surgical Internship. Following his internship, he went onto advance his medical skills by completing his surgical residency at St. Clare’s. After a two year surgical residency, he then specialized in orthopedic surgery by completing another three year residency specifically in orthopedic care at the Hospital for Joint Diseases in Manhattan. Dr. Israel completed two separate sports medicine fellowships following his residencies. The first fellowship he completed at the University of Oklahoma with Dr. Don O’Donoghue, the father of Sports Medicine. His second fellowship he completed at Lennox Hill Hospital in New York City with Dr. James Nicholas, the doctor for the NY Jets.

Aside from his residency and fellowship work, Dr. Robert Israel has also authored several scientific papers in regards to orthopedic surgery and sports medicine that appeared in publications such as the American Journal of Sports Medicine and the Orthopedic Research Society. In addition to his scientific writings, Dr. Israel has dedicated his career to staying abreast of the latest technology and advances in his field. He continually attends trainings, conventions, and lectures to ensure that he is offering his patients superior care and treatment.
