Dr. Roxana Diba

Dr. Roxana Diba holds a Bachelor’s degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology and a Master’s degree in Physiological Science from the University of California, Los Angeles. After completing her graduate studies, she enrolled at the University of Texas Medical Branch, earning her medical degree in 2002. Following a year practicing internal medicine at the California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco, Dr. Roxana Diba joined the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, where she researched ocular oncology. After completing her research, she relocated to Washington, D.C., and finished her residency in family medicine at Georgetown University.

Dr. Roxana Diba entered private practice in 2008. She treated HIV patients, administered and supervised hormone replacement therapy, and referred patients for drug abuse counseling as needed. The following year, Dr. Roxana Diba provides general family medicine services to underserved patients at Perry Family Health Center in Washington, D.C and founded Professional Medical Review Officers.

In addition to her work with Professional Medical Review Officers, Dr. Roxana Diba serves as a Staff Physician in the Police and Fire Clinic where treats fire and police personnel for workplace injuries. Highly active in her community, Dr. Roxana Diba has volunteered her time and expertise by providing medical services at a health clinic in an underserved area and by teaching and mentoring medical students and residents. She has also organized health fairs to promote healthy eating and provided free school physicals at a high school in a low-income neighborhood. She combines her expertise in HIV and occupational medicine to consult on employer health programs that deal with HIV patients.

Dr. Roxana Diba maintains membership in the American College of Sports Medicine, the American Academy of Family Physicians, and the American Medical Association. She is licensed to practice medicine in California and Washington, D.C., and Board Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. When not at work, she enjoys reading, kickboxing, cycling, skiing, and swimming.
