Dr. Sandeep Nayak - Surgical Oncologist

Dr. Sandeep Nayak is a leading oncologist in Bangalore, world renowned for his path-breaking work in robotic and minimally invasive cancer surgeries. He is the first to perform minimmaly invassive breast surgeries (MIBS) and some of the advanced robotic breast cancer surgeries in India. He has pioneered some innovative surgical methods like RABIT (Robotic-Assisted Breast-Axillo Insufflated Thyroidectomy), MIND (Minimally Invasive Neck Dissection), and L-VEIL (Lateral-Video Endoscopic Inguinal Lymphadenectomy), which are now being performed by surgeons all over the world.

As an RGUHS Professor of Minimal Access Surgical Oncology, Dr. Nayak is involved in training the next generation of cancer surgeons. He has also started India’s first Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgical Oncology. Under this initiative, he mentors surgeons in laparoscopic, endoscopic, and robotic surgeries.
