Dr. Shazia Mehdi

As Owner and General Dentist of Saratoga Dental, Dr. Shazia Mehdi has served the needs of Ballston Spa, New York, patients since 2008. Dr. Mehdi obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery from New York University. In addition, she served her residency at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, Connecticut. Before she opened Saratoga Dental, Shazia Mehdi, DDS, practiced as an Associate Dentist at another office in New York.

In her role as primary dentist, Dr. Shazia Mehdi strives to provide excellent dental care at Saratoga Dental. Dr. Mehdi offers not only basic dentistry services, but also cosmetic and crown procedures, mouthguards, partial dentures, and sealants. She also works closely with local specialists when her patients need a referral to an oral surgeon, orthodontist, or endodontist.

Furthermore, Dr. Mehdi manages all administrative and supervisory aspects of her practice. She oversees her entire staff, which includes dental hygienists and office assistants. She integrates her roles as dentist and director in order to deliver customer-driven services to the community. As such, Saratoga Dental gladly accepts all patients, including those with Medicaid insurance. The office also donates to a local police chapter and an arts program, and tries to hire local vendors for office upkeep.

As a member of both the American Dental Association (ADA) and the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), Dr. Shazia Mehdi aims to advocate for professionals and patients on issues of dental health. Dr. Mehdi bolsters her skills by attending continuing education courses around the world. In her spare time, Dr. Mehdi likes to travel and spend time with her daughter.
