Dr Sidharth Sahni

Dr. Sahni’s specialization lies in breast surgery, having worked at one of the leading breast centres in the world - the Edinburgh Breast Unit. Under the guidance of Mr. U Chetty and Mr. JM Dixon, he underwent specialist training in breast and axillary conservation as well as benign breast disease management, focusing on minimally invasive management of infective and inflammatory conditions.

He then moved on to the European Institute of Oncology (IEO) in Milan, training with Prof. Umberto Veronesi and Prof. Alberto Luini from the year 2005-2006 in order to obtain his certification in specialist training in breast surgery. IEO has been at the forefront of breast cancer research since its conception, having made groundbreaking contributions to Breast Conserving Surgery, Sentinel Node Biopsy and Intra-Operative Radiotherapy in breast cancer management.

Dr.Sahni is a certified tutor at the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh.

He is the specialist breast surgeon to the Embassy of the United States of America in New Delhi and was the lead consultant for breast services at the Artemis Health Institute in Gurgaon & Senior Consultant & Head of Department Breast Surgery at Dr B L Kapur Memorial Hospital, New Delhi.

At present he is a Senior Consultant Breast Surgeon at the Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, New Delhi

Having been part of various trials at an international level, Dr, Sahni is often invited to speak at both national and worldwide scientific conferences. Based on his own scientific evidence, he has authored several significant papers of value in reference to breast diseases.

Dr Sahni has also been recently appointed onto the board of directors of the European and Asian Society for Mastology (EURAMA), heading the South Asian office as President till 2016.Dr Sahni is on the Editorial Board of eCancer medical journal, the largest web based cancer journal in the world.
