Dr. Susan Ghazali

Based in Winnipeg, Canada, Dr. Susan Ghazali acts as a general surgeon with emphasis on surgical oncology procedures. She holds licenses to practice medicine in Manitoba and Ontario. With a clinic in Winnipeg, Dr. Susan Ghazali also serves as a locum tenes (substitute) physician in small- and average-sized hospitals throughout Canada. Outside of her work as a physician, she teaches and assists medical students through her work as an Assistant Professor for the University of Manitoba.
Born in Saudi Arabia, Dr. Ghazali relocated to Canada in 2002. Much of her medical training and education was conducted in her native country. In 1991, she earned her medical degree from King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. After graduation, she served her internship at King Fahad Hospital. In 1993, she worked as a general practitioner at Al-Nuzha Primary Health Care Centre before entering her residency program. From 1994 to 1999, Dr. Ghazali served as a resident of general surgery at King Fahad Hospital. She received the highest marks of all residents at the hospital and the second-highest marks of all residents in Saudi Arabia.
After moving to Canada, Dr. Susan Ghazali began a fellowship in surgical oncology at the University of Manitoba. In 2005, she earned her license to practice medicine. She holds professional memberships with many medical organizations, including the Canadian Society of Surgical Oncology, the Canadian Association of General Surgeons, the Ontario Medical Association, SAGES, Doctors Manitoba, and the European Society of Surgical Oncology.
Outside of work, Dr. Ghazali enjoys traveling, working with charities, and learning about the latest technologies in medicine and surgery. She cherishes time with her children and family.
