Tae Yun Kim

Dr. Tae Yun Kim (Grandmaster Kim) has never been one to follow the easy path. Today, she stands as the world’s first female martial arts grandmaster, an internationally-respected tech entrepreneur, and an influential public speaker.

Grandmaster Kim’s achievements fly in the face of overwhelming odds. As a child, she faced abuse and rejection for her determination to pursue martial arts; as an adult in America, she weathered sexism, racism, and financial insecurity as she sought professional success. Yet, Grandmaster Kim persisted, adopting the mantra: “He can do, she can do, why not me?”. Grandmaster Kim’s conviction gave her the power to overcome her tragic circumstances. She built Lighthouse World Solutions, now a globally-recognized solutions provider, from the ground up. Grandmaster Kim also established a martial arts school that taught Jung SuWon -- a philosophy of her own invention that helps students learn how to follow her example and overcome limitations in every aspect of their lives.
