Dr. Tim Verwest

Since graduating from the University of Florida’s College of Dentistry in 1989, Dr. Tim Verwest has established himself as a leader in the field of pediatric dentistry. Academically, Dr. Verwest has devoted ample time to several issues which are unique to this branch, asking questions such as, “Should parents be allowed in the dental treatment room,” “Why is a pediatric dentist more effective than a general dentist,” and “How can dental cavities be more effectively prevented in children?” His research and writing has been published in the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry’s national journal.

Dr. Tim Verwest has extensive experience with a nearly two decade long tenure in private practice. His current practice, Just For Kids Pediatric Dentistry / Pediatric Dentistry of Ft. Myers is recognized by Talk of the Town Awards for Excellence in Customer Satisfaction, earning a four-star rating in the category. Dr. Verwest has also earned several other distinctions throughout his career, including the Charles Fain Award of Excellence in Pediatric Dentistry, and a place in the Consumers’ Research Council of America’s Guide to America’s Top Dentists.

Prior to setting out in private practice, Dr. Tim Verwest served a short stint as Chief Resident of the University Of Florida Department Of Pediatric Dentistry. He was also a staff member for Lee Memorial Hospital’s Dental Surgery Section. Dr. Tim Verwest is a Diplomat on the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry as well as a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), Florida Dental Association, and Lee County Dental Society, Inc.

Aside from his busy professional schedule, Dr. Tim Verwest enjoys spending time with his family in his home in Fort Myers, Florida. His hobbies include working out, traveling, fishing in the Florida Keys, and rooting for the Florida Gator football team.
