Dru Schmith

From his home base in Florida, Dru Schmith coached cheerleading for more than a decade. He began by working with the Lake Mary All Stars in Longwood, Florida, and served on its coaching staff for four years. Dru Schmith then accepted leadership of the organization as its owner and head coach, a role that he held through 2010.

Dru Schmith continued his career as owner, cheer director, and coach at Legendary Athletics in Longwood, Florida. In this position, he oversaw not only its overall operations but its all-star cheerleading program, which allowed him to build familiarity with the guidelines of the United States All Star Federation (USASF). He went on to use this expertise as a coach with Island Cheer and Tumbling, located in the community of Fleming Island, Florida.

As coach of the Island All Stars, Dru Schmith created a curriculum focused on helping each athlete progress in his or her technique. He provided skill coaching as well as personal motivation to all athletes while establishing safety measures that focused on protecting each individual during the workout.

Coach Dru Schmith left Island Cheer and Tumbling in early 2018 and now focuses on his studies at the University of North Florida pursuing his Bachelor's Degree.
