So why a garden? I help students get into the best colleges in this country. As a former Dean of Admissions at Columbia and Harvard, I guide my students in creating compelling, touching, entertaining and even whimsical applications that separate them from the tens of thousands of other really bright kids. What I do is part science and part creativity. The creativity that an artist experiences when they look at a particular scene I bring when I look into the spirit of a particular student. I help them express it in a manner that represents all of the nuance and depth that they possess as individuals. Every autumn parents bring me seeds that they have held close for a lifetime and that represent the legacy of their family. And every spring, with my care and knowledge, there become beautiful flowers, fully opened and reaching for the sun.
