Vanda, an Edward Albee Fellow and Lambda National Literary Award Finalist was profiled in the Dramatist Guild’s Magazine article, “50 (playwrights) To Watch.” Her play, The Forgetting Curve, was one of three plays selected to be read at Theater Resources, Unlimited Voices Series (June, ’13) She won first place in Pride Film and Stage’s Women’s Work Contest for her play, PATIENT HM (Now titled The Forgetting Curve) PATIENT HM also was a semi-finalist in both the Eugene O’Neill Theater Conference and the Seven Devils Conference. Original Works published her play, VILE AFFECTIONS, after five standing room only performances at the International New York Fringe Festival. Her play, WHY’D YA MAKE ME WEAR THIS, JOE? won first place in Celebration Theater’s Best LGBT Play Contest along with other awards and has been produced all over the country.
Her short fiction and nonfiction has appeared in PRAIRIE SCHOONER, PENTIMENTO, THE OUTRIDER REVIEW and SINISTER WISDOM.
Her novel is performed by actors every fourth Tuesday of each month at THE DUPLEX NIGHTCLUB, NYC
