Pastoral Leader with over 15 years’ experience working in a range of academic settings. Ten years leadership experienceas Assistant Head, Deputy Principal, Head of Sixth Form and Head of Department. A strong academic and research background with a BSc (Hons) and PhD in Psychology and previous research and teaching experience in high profile academic institutions such as Glasgow Caledonian, University College, London and University of Porto. I am a published researcher and have spoken at a variety of international conferences.

With a passion for pastoral support and wellbeing, I have successfully led teams through both ISI and KHDA inspections gaining ‘excellent’ and ‘outstanding‘ respectively for student personal development (section 2 KHDA). I have established contacts and worked with a range of professionals and outside agencies, as well as organising a Wellbeing Symposium in Dubai, in-school wellbeing days and leading an institution through the accreditation of the Wellbeing Award for Schools.

In July 2022, I was shortlisted for Pastoral Leader of the Year UK by NACPE and former Girls’ School Association (GSA) Pastoral Cluster lead which brings together pastoral heads from across the UK to share good practice. I have an active interest in empowering women and girls and, with the support of professional contacts, I have organised and run a variety of events both in Guernsey and Internationally. My thirst to develop and enhance my leadership experience has taken me to Dubai where I have gained experience in an international setting at a Premium British International School leading and shaping pastoral care in a growing school.
