Dr. Vassiliou began using carbon dioxide lasers in 1990 for the endoscopic treatment of endometiosis. She was instrumental in bringing the new flagship Coherent Ultrapulse laser to the Ottawa Hospital - Civic Campus for use as an ablative and cutting tool laparoscopically.
