Dr. Vernon Sechriest is a highly accomplished medical professional. He held the Chief of Orthopedics & Podiatry position at The Minneapolis VA Medical Center from 2015 to 2021. He was also appointed by the University of Minnesota Department of Orthopedic Surgery as an Adjunct Associate Professor in 2015.
During his time at the VAMC, he successfully developed, organized, and oversaw educational activities for medical students and residents - in addition to conducting clinical training and research. In 2021, the University of Minnesota Department of Orthopedic Surgery promoted him to Adjunct Professor of Orthopedic Surgery based on his achievements as an educational leader.
