Dr. Ricardo Vigil
I am currently a 10th Grade World History teacher at Lennox Math Science and Technology Academy, a small charter school near LAX in Southern California.
I have completed my Doctorate in Teacher Education at the University of Southern California (USC). The topic of my doctoral dissertation was: Globalization, Curricular Elements, Organizational Structures and Perceived Student Outcomes in California Schools.
My expertise and passion lie in school reform & restructuring in response to a technologically and rapidly changing world. The world around us is quickly globalizing, intensifying the interactions amongst cultures and requiring a re-thinking of politics, our economy and global citizenship... yet our schools have, for the most part, remained local.
My undergraduate degree is from Santa Clara University where I attained a B.S. in Marketing... I then attended Pepperdine University and earned a Masters degrees in Education.
In my spare time, I enjoy attending every LA Galaxy home game, traveling, comics, reading and music/movies.
Soon you'll find a link to a new start-up educational consultancy firm I have co-created with three close friends and esteemed colleagues from the USC Doctoral Program.
