Carlos R. Villalta, MD

Texas, USA

Dr. Villalta is a pediatrician and medical software developer in Texas with educational interests that have lead to understanding the true nature of ICD (International Classification of Diseases). As a promoter of proper diagnosis code billing, he designed and distributed his ICD-9 Search Engine with success. The WHO (World Health Organization) and the CDC (Center for Disease Control) are in the process of implementing ICD-10-CM across the U.S.

In response to this, he compiled a new program to meet the needs of the upcoming changes: MD ICD-10 Search Engine. In the recent months, he held his first ICD-10 Coding Guidelines presentation, in which he shared his knowledge of the new coding structure effecting all healthcare workers nationwide.

If you are a student, healthcare worker, professor looking to know more about the ins and outs of the upcoming ICD update, please email me. I am working on putting together online presentations of the ICD-10 Coding Guidelines in the very near future. If you are interested in participating, let me know.
