Dr Warren B. Licht

An experienced clinician, physician executive, and educator, Dr. Warren Licht currently services as the System Medical Director for Medicine at the Atlantic Health System. He is responsible for aligning strategic and clinical leadership for primary care and medicine specialties throughout the System to further its enterprise mission of building healthier communities through performance, growth, population health, innovation, research, and education. He currently practices Internal Medicine as part of the Northwell Health Physician Partners. His patient care office is located on Manhattan's Upper East Side at 927 Park Avenue between 80th and 81st streets. In addition, he serves on the medical staff of Manhattan’s Lenox Hill Hospital, a member hospital of Northwell Health, formerly the North Shore-LIJ Health System. Dr. Licht was the Vice President of Ambulatory Operations and Director of the Medicine Service Line for the Western Region for Northwell Health. In this role, Dr. Licht wass responsible for the community based practices of the Department of Medicine and is leading the regional expansion of ambulatory medical practices. Dr. Licht also served as the Director for Medical Affairs for the Health System’s Lenox Health Greenwich Village facility.
In addition to his work as a practicing physician, Dr. Warren Licht previously held responsibilities as Program Director of the Internal Medicine Residency Training Program, Institutional Director of Graduate Medical Education, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Medical Information Officer and Senior Vice President for Medical Affairs with New York Downtown Hospital. In the latter capacity, he oversaw all aspects of physician operations at the hospital, focusing on facilities expansion and quality improvement opportunities. Among his administrative responsibilities, Dr. Warren Licht has headed the Quality Council, led the Faculty Practices, and chaired the Graduate Medical Education Committee.
Dr. Warren Licht and his colleagues were called upon to provide leadership in the aftermath of the September 11, 2001, World Trade Center attacks. He helped guide the largest single medical center response to the tragedy. Dr. Licht has also been involved in volunteer capacities as past Medical Director of Bridges to Community, Inc. The nonprofit facilitates cross-cultural awareness-building efforts and sends volunteer teams to Central America.
