Dry Erase Boards
Dry Erase Boards have been used in homes and offices ever since they first appeared in the market in the 1960’s. Nowadays they are commonly referred to as ‘whiteboards’ and come in three different surfaces: melamine, steel or aluminum, and porcelain. Melamine is referred to as the standard surface for dry erase boards; ideal for low-use environments. Different whiteboard surfaces exist because the first whiteboards experienced “ghosting” - a residue of erased markings. To solve this problem, Porcelain boards were created and are now the highest quality boards in the industry. Porcelain boards are created with a ceramic surface, making them scratch-resistant. They resist absorbing dry erase ink, so there is virtually no chance of ghosting.
