Dr Yusof Mutahar (MBBS FRACGP) is an Australian medical doctor, author, and theologian operating at the convergence of clinical science, classical faith, and intellectual history. A graduate of the University of Western Australia and a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, he is recognized for integrating a medical career with advanced Islamic scholarship and competitive athletics.

Dr Mutahar practices as a specialist General Practitioner in Western Australia, focusing on preventive medicine, chronic disease management, and medical education. He has authored several key medical texts for clinicians and students, including ECG Simplified, a high-yield guide to interpreting medical electrocardiograms in acute and primary care settings; Secondary Causes of Hypertension in General Practice, a diagnostic framework evaluating uncommon hypertensive disorders; and An Approach to Hypercalcaemia in General Practice, a concise clinical handbook detailing the systematic investigation and management of elevated serum calcium levels.

Dr Mutahar pursued extensive training in the classical Islamic sciences, specializing in Quran Tafsir, Hanafi Fiqh, and Maturidi Kalam, while holding a traditional licence (ijāzah) in the Hanafi Maturidi tradition. In Creed & Foundational Orthodoxy (Aqidah), his landmark 260-page textbook, Al-Fiqh al-Akbar and Kitab al-Tawhid: An Integrated Commentary on the Essential Teachings of Imam al-Azam Abu Hanifah and Imam al-Maturidi, represents another historic, world-first milestone. It is the first work in any language to systematically synthesize and integrate these two foundational masterpieces into a single, unified exposition.
