Born in Erie, PA, I spent my early and formative years in the beautiful state of Maine. At age ten, a family move thrust me into a very different culture and way of life when my father's job took us to Suffern, New York, a quaint little town thirty miles outside of NYC. The life lessons I learned in both places have stayed with me for a lifetime.
My eclectic advanced education provided me with a B.A. in Economics and an M.Div. in Theology/Pastoral Counseling. My eclectic work experience led me to a stint working with George Gallup, Jr. as he began polling the country on their religious attitudes and practices. The Religion Research Center, as he called it, was later brought under the umbrella of The Gallup Poll. Later I worked for Paulist Press in marketing and promotion
I married at thirty, had two sons, and began my migration south: Virginia and then North Carolina. As a stay at home mom I quicly became a serial entreprenuer launching numerous small businesses too numerous and diverse to list here.
The business that lasted the longest, now almost 20 years, is the home improvement business my husband and I started together. It has been our bread and butter ever since. It allowed me to homeschool and spend the time with my family I always believed important.
At fifty, I left the business in my husband's capable hands and took up writing full time. It has been my one focus and passion ever since.
You will find my writings hither and yon. Check out my links for a few reliable spots.
