Born in Erie, PA, I spent my early and formative years in the beautiful state of Maine. At age ten, a family move to metropolitan New York thrust me into a very different culture. The life lessons I learned in both places have stayed with me for a lifetime.

I've seldom walked the straight and narrow path and as a result both my education and background are quite eclectic. I hold a B.A. in Economics and an M.Div. in Theology/Pastoral Counseling. I worked with George Gallup, Jr., polling the country on their view of religion in the early 1980's. Later I turned to marketing and promotion, first for a small non-profit and then for Paulist Press.

After my children game along, self-employment was my preferred option. I created several small businesses with vary success, until my husband became partners in a home improvement business which has been in business for 20 years.

At fifty, I left the business in my husband's capable hands and took up writing full time.

I am the author of two books, Caring for Mom and Finding Hope. A third is near completion and the working title is Midlife Pathways, Embracing the Transformative Process as We Age.

My articles, short stories and poems have been published in a variety of online and offline publications. Visit my website for more details.
