David Scala is an aspiring young photographer and videographer. He focusses mainly on landscape, music and sports. At an early age, David was introduced to the toy camera, taking fake pictures of girls in Tim Hortons. Later he was introduced to the video camera, being featured in many interesting family videos shot by his persistent Mother and Father.
Growing up in Whitby Ontario, he attended All Saints Secondary School and is now currently studying at Durham College in the Video Production program. David has had 6 years of filming experience prior to taking the Video Production program. He has used many cameras including a Sony VX1000, Sony PD150, Sony HVR V1U, and now currently a Canon 70D.
Along with video and photography, David has many other hobbies which tie into his field of study. David enjoys skateboarding, and playing hockey. Filming skateboarding led David to explore the lifestyle of videography, which he enjoyed very much. David can be found on YouTube, as this site worked hand in hand to allow him to explore the world of video and to see what kind of work is out there, and what has been done. David is also a guitarist of 13 years and is a avid music lover and collector. David enjoys the work of past decades such as AC/DC, Kiss, Judas Priest and Neil Young. As an old soul, David enjoys collecting vinyl, and other forms of physical media. David is regularly involved in the “Vinyl Community” on YouTube where he interacts with many to share his love for music.
