HI! ... I've been involved in “alternative” practices since 1967, when I was 13 years old. I got started with Martial Arts & Buddhist meditation.

I'm now a Practitioner, Educator & Author/Self-Publisher of a BodyMind Health System I developed over the past 40-plus years titled DSL Edgework: Yoga/Bodywork/Whole Health Principles, Practices & Therapeutics.

There are 3 Primary Elements to my work:

1.) Physical/ Mental & Relational Yoga and my innovative derivative, Let-Go Yoga (letting go of tension, stress & habit patterns). The focus is relaxation, lengthening & balancing the muscles & structures of the body & activation of the parasympathetic nervous system.

2.) Hands-on, Mindful Medical Massage & Myo-Structural Bodywork. When yoga or Conscious Stretching does not work so well, hands-on work can often create the desired tension releases far more effectively, efficiently & quickly.

3.) BIO-Structural Balancing for Structural Decompression & Postural Alignment. This is where we analyze the body to figure out where the most likely causes of problems are.

The Primary Objective is for my Clients to learn how to reduce, eliminate, or at least more effectively manage their C.E.M.&.N.T. (or Chronic, Excess Muscle & Nerve Tension & Stress). I consider muscles to be THE NEXUS between mind and body, and the point where hatha (the physical) yoga intersects with jnana (the mental) yoga. It is the resistance in muscles that is the first level "stretching" deals with when entering into a posture (or yogasana).

I use a NO Pain, MORE Gain Philosophy, believing that, in therapeutic situations, you should always either like, or be totally neutral about, what you're feeling. You should never, if at all possible, be tolerating ANY truly negative sensations in therapeutic yoga or bodywork.

And, via BIO-Structural Analysis & Postural Evaluation, I'm highly skilled at finding where pain, poor posture, restriction of movement, and other dysfunction are REALLY coming from. It's very frequently NOT where you think or feel it is.

Now, I mostly train therapists & teachers / trainers in my system of therapy & self-maintenance. Yet I also work privately with individuals & groups with significant therapeutic challenges who've been given up on by both orthodox AND alternative physicians and therapists, with a very high success rate in helping such people.

LOCATION: I go where people need me.
