Current Activities:
Currently exploring free alternatives for paid software. Mainly focused on finding a realistic choice for students that do not have a video editing suite at home.
Enrolled in the NBPTS process to obtain National Board Certification
Past Activities:
2010-2011 school year Grant application to fund Lego Robotics and Rocketry classes (Success)
Winter 2010 Presented $100 interactive Whiteboard at N.I.C.E. mini conference
Summer 2009 Creation of and teaching a Summer Technology Bootcamp for Interested Staff
2009 to present: 3rd year teaching Technology classes. Classes have used a varied array of Tech tools running from iMovie, to Lego Robotics, to 3D design. Students are aprticipants in project based learning with groups and solo assignments.
2008-2009: Worked as a Middle School Technology Coach. Assisted staff in planning Technology rich lessons. Researched new tools (software and hardware) to present to staff and students, allowing them new more interactive choices to complete assignments.
June - August 2008: Technology infrastructure staff. Programmed and placed wireless access points schoolwide. Imaged and distributed teacher laptops at the beginning of a Teacher Laptop program. Broke down and packaged the re-installed teacher computer and A/V setups districtwide.
