David Tennysen
Student in Vineyard, Utah
Hello fellow INFO-1120-601 Spring 2019 classmates! I'm currently a full-time student majoring in IT with an emphasis in Network Administration and Security.
In my free time I like to read (currently reading The Chill, by Ross MacDonald), play old computer games (Starcraft 2 & Fallout: New Vegas), and watch TV/Movies (looking forward to final Mr. Robot season). I used to travel outside the US a lot, but since I'm a poor student now I haven't done much of that lately.
I'm a really chill person, but I take school very seriously. I'm currently a straight A student and plan on getting an A in this class also. I'd like to be in a group where others share the same commitment. I am open to suggestions on how we should evenly divide up the work, so that no one in the group feels like they have to do more than their fair share.
Because I'm a full-time student without a job I can be available pretty much anytime I'm not in class or sleeping. Monday-Thursdays I can be available 11AM-4PM and then 9PM-11:59PM. Friday, Saturday and Sunday I can be available anytime except normal sleeping hours.
I'm fairly tech savvy so I'm open to most collaboration tools. My preferences would be text groups for normal communication and somewhere we can drop documents to be reviewed as a group, like Google Hangouts or even email. Whatever the group decides is fine by me.
If you have a good idea of someone to invite to be our group's guest speaker that is a big plus to me, because I have no ideas on that currently.
TL;DR - I'm an awesome hardworking student looking for a group with other awesome hardworking students who will take this class seriously. No slackers! My availability is very open. I'm open to pretty much any collaboration tool the group decides on. Bonus points if you know of someone to invite to be our group's guest speaker!
