Duane Keilstrup

Arlington, TX

Duane Victor Keilstrup was born in 1935 in Wayne, Nebraska. He graduated from Fremont High School and then went on to study at the University of Nebraska, where he obtained his B.A., a Master's Degree, and a Ph.D. in Germanic Languages and Linguistics. He taught at the University of Tulsa, University of North Texas, as a graduate assistant at the University of Texas at Austin and the University of Nebraska, and is now Professor Emeritus at the University of Texas at Arlington after 37 years on the staff.

Dr. Keilstrup served as church board Overseer at Pantego Bible Church and for several years was a member of Campus Crusade's Christian Leadership Ministry to college faculty and students, which led to his participation in a pioneering CLM mission abroad to South African universities.

Duane and his wife Glenda celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary this year; they have 3 children, 3 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. Spending time with his family, working with his internet-based old-time radio program on YesterdayUSA, traveling, and enjoying Texas and Nebraska sports teams fill his days.
