Brought up in Elgin,Ill. Went to high school and one year of college there before entering the military. After military, worked at Elgin Watch. Finally got into banking through Crocker Bank in Whittier and ended up at Chino Vally Bank and retired early to Redding, Ca., but became publisher of the Nebraska site of Rivals.com. Re-retired few years ago.
