Jason Lively
Dr. Jason Dude Lively (Dr. Dude) has been teaching online in the Web Design & Interactive Media program for almost 10 years. He has a BBA in Computer Information Systems from Howard Payne University in Brownwood Texas; an MBA in Computer Information Systems from Tarleton State University in Stephenville Texas; an Educational Specialist degree from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale Florida; and a Ph.D. in Computing Technology in Education from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale Florida.
Jason’s doctoral developmental dissertation was titled “Assessing Individual Contribution in Online Collaborative Activities”; the study involved the design and creation of an online instrument that facilitated the formative and summative evaluation of student groups. Jason has regularly offered consulting and web design services ancillary to his teaching responsibilities. Prior to teaching, Dr. Dude managed several departments of a computer manufacturing company, and was instrumental in establishing the company’s first web presence. Jason later served as a University webmaster for 4 years, and has continued to evolve in the field through active involvement in consulting work, research, and training.
Jason’s true passion is evidenced in the classroom; this passion is echoed throughout each lesson and continually prompts him to stay abreast on the latest technologies in an effort to provide students with a cutting edge education. Jason brings a plethora of life experiences related to Web Design and Interactive Media into the classroom.
