Hire me

Hey! I'm Zach, an efficient, resourceful, and dependable creative professional living in Toronto. I’ve worked in several fields across Canada, and have gained over ten years’ experience in creative academic research, audio production, digital design, and financial management.

I am currently completing my third year in the Creative Industries School at Ryerson University; this follows the successful completion of a diploma certificate at Recording Arts Canada. In addition to concentrating in the study of the music industry, I specialize in professional communication – including visual culture; marketing plans and proposals; and value chain analyses for creative businesses in Toronto – with a strong focus on examining new methods of engagement using emerging social media technologies. I also continue to develop my fluency in French by pursuing a French minor.

In addition to my studies, I am employed as a research assistant at Ryerson, working closely with one of my professors on an in-depth examination of the emerging video game industry. With this position, I am gaining expertise with academic paper editing, compiling research and drawing conclusions, and conducting original research studies. I also work for a student-run creative entrepreneurship publication, coordinating social media strategy and editing weekly podcasts.

In terms of student leadership, I was twice elected to the executive of the Creative Industries Course Union, serving as both Vice President, Events and Second Year Representative. I further represent the University as an ambassador at recruitment fairs and other community events. I have earned these opportunities through my proven commitment to achieving results and creative problem-solving skills.

Aside from work and school, I have a passion for exploring new cultures through cooking, enjoying the many greenbelt trails around my midtown home, collecting vinyl, and playing golf. I try to return to my hometown of Vancouver as much as possible to connect with family, ski, and hike. After completing my undergraduate studies, I plan to pursue future opportunities in creative academia – at graduate school and beyond.
