Dulce Aphile Shandjana was born in Mpumalanga and raised in Johannesburg Tembisa South Africa, but has lived in Gauteng Pretoria. She studied acting at an institution called Youth In Trust at the South African State Theatre.
“I went to theatre looking to be famous, little did I know that it was going to be more than that! Theatre is life, theatre awakens hearts” said Dulce Aphile Shandjana.
In 2018, Dulce Aphile Shandjana started her modeling career and won Miss Pretoria institute of learning 3 times in a row. By 2021 Dulce Aphile Shandjana had acquired 6 pageant titles excluding finalist and public choice belts.
“you can be anything that you put your mind to, the only limit is your imagination” said Dulce Aphile Shandjana who was inspiring young girls in the judging panel of Miss Pretoria institute of learning Crowning (2021) .
Dulce Aphile Shandjana is currently a co-Organiser of a pageant called Bond House SA ambassador. Dulce Aphile Shandjana is inspired by the drive to see women feel confident in their dresses when staging.
“When you wear a dress and look at yourself in the mirror, you have to feel like a Queen ,if you don’t feel like a Queen then get a new dress.” Her dream is to own a boutique that makes dresses fit for Queens.
Dulce Aphile Shandjana also owns an online makeup store called “Smiley’s online” for beauty and cosmetics made for women who love beauty in packages.
” Jobs are hard to find, so why not just be the boss” said Dulce Aphile Shandjana . She believes that in her new business ventures she will decrease the unemployment rate.
According to Daily Maverick (2022) the Unemployment rate has increased to 35.3% in the fourth quarter of 2021 (Stoddard, 2022). Therefore Dulce Aphile Shandjana refuses to sit back and watch her fellow brothers and sisters go to bed on an empty stomach.
Dulce Aphile Shandjana motivates young woman to “be the boss”. She couches young woman in her small town Soshanguve in catergories of modeling, acting, script writing and business. In order to reduce the unemployment rate. Dulce Aphile Shandjana believes that you can be anything that you put your mind to, the only limit is your imagination.
