Currently residing in Las Vegas, Nevada, Dunesa Paglinawan pursues a wide variety of pastimes. With a penchant for exploring exotic locations throughout the world, Ms. Paglinawan has visited a broad range of exotic locations in the Pacific. As a native of the Philippines, born and raised in the coastal city of Escalante in the province of Negros Occidental, she has traveled extensively throughout her home country. Her past destinations have included Boracay, a small Filipino island noted for its breathtaking beaches; Palawan, a scenic, agricultural Filipino island; and Manila, the nation's capital city. Dunesa Paglinawan's international journeys have taken her to numerous countries in Asia, including China, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, Korea, and Maldives, where she enjoyed the beautiful city of Male. Furthermore, Ms. Paglinawan has also spent time in South America and Western Europe.

Along with having traveled extensively, Dunesa Paglinawan has also maintained a keen interest in cooking. Particularly fond of Filipino cuisine, she has prepared such dishes as adobo (marinated meat or seafood), ginisang monggo (mung bean soup), dinuguan (pork blood stew), and pansit (stir-fried rice noodles). Ms. Paglinawan also enjoys cooking Spanish, Asian, Italian, and American dishes.

An outdoors enthusiast, Dunesa Paglinawan pursues a number of athletic activities such as jogging and biking. Moreover, she practices Pilates and ballroom dancing. When she is not taking part in her more active pastimes, she enjoys reading and watching the Philippine daytime television show Kung Akoy Iiwan Mo (If You Leave Me) and the primetime Philippine drama Sa Dulo Ng Walang Hanggan (At the End of Eternity).
