Durty Art

My name is Bob Freyer, and I go by the name(s) Durty, Durty-1, and Durty Art. I'm an urban artist in Pittsburgh Pa, and I connect color to canvas. I'm influenced by the urban and hip hop culture. Some people use a mic to speak their thoughts, beliefs, and views. I use a spray can to capture my thoughts on canvas. Each piece that is created comes from various points of inspiration. The inspiration comes from various hip hop artists such as; Aesop Rock, Sage Francis, Eyedea, KRS One, Atmosphere, Rob Sonic, b.Dolan, and other hip hop heavy hitters. Aside from the music stimulating my mind, there’s also poets, and other visual artists that give the inspiration as if they are my own Mr. Miyagi. During the short time I've been displaying my art I've done a few professional pieces. I designed the cover for Providence, Rhode Island hip hop and spoken word artist b. Dolan, for the album Fallen House Sunken City Dessert Sessions. Along with this album cover I won a t shirt contest for Chriskill Recording paying homage to the late great emcee Michael "Eyedea" Larsen. Aside from winning the t shirt contest for Crushkill, I also did a small series of skate decks for them as well. There's a wide variety of people that follow me, and that own my art. Some of these people include Blastmaster himself KRS One, Paradise Gray, and Cas One. Right now I'm a registered artist with RAW Artists, and continuing the grind to get my vision noticed by everyone and anyone.
